Types of Arthritis
Arthritis is a condition in which there is inflammation in the joints. There are many different types of arthritic conditions. It has been estimated that there are more than one hundred various types of arthritis. Arthritis types can be as simple as a small case of inflammation in the tendons, to as complicated and severe as that which is experienced in rheumatoid arthritis. In addition to the types of arthritis, there are a number of arthritic conditions and disorders that individuals suffer from.

Carpal tunnel syndrome - This is a condition in which tendons in the wrist experience swelling. The swelling causes the nerves located in the wrist area to become compromised.
Degenerative joint disease - This is an arthritic condition in which various joints in the body deteriorates. The joints become damaged due to the break down of the joints.
Dermatomyositis - The inflammation of the blood vessels results in tissues of the muscles becoming damaged.
Fibromyalgia - This arthritic condition is marked by extreme levels of pain throughout the body. The body becomes stiff and individuals who suffer normally experience a lot of pain and muscle weakness.
Fifth's disease - This arthritic condition is most common in children. It is a rash that may affect the joints and various bones throughout the body.
Fungal arthritis - This type of arthritis is caused by an infection of fungus.
Gout - Uric acid in the body builds up and develops into joint damage.
Hemochromatosis - This arthritic condition results in an accumulation of iron in the body.
Immune complex disease - This condition occurs when there is an issue with the immune system of the body.
Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis - This type of arthritis is common in children. However, it can result in inflammation and bone damage.
Osteoarthritis - This type of arthritis occurs when there are changes in the bone. These changes often indicate bone damage.
Psoriatic arthritis - This type of arthritis is related to the skin condition of psoriases. It can result in the stiffness of the joints and bones.
Raynaud's phenomenon - This arthritic condition is caused by issues with the blood vessels.
Rheumatoid arthritis - This type of arthritis is an autoimmune type.
Septic arthritis - This type of arthritis is caused by a bacterial infection. Many individuals with rheumatoid arthritis may experience this as a complication.
Tarsal tunnel syndrome - This arthritic condition affects the joint and nerves in the ankle area.
Ulcerative colitis - This results in the inflammation of the colon. It can also result in the inflammation of the joints throughout the body.
Viral arthritis - This type of arthritis is caused by the development of a virus in the body.
As you can see, there are many different types of arthritis and arthritic conditions. As stated previously, most forms of arthritis all have the same types of symptoms. However, they will affect the different joints and areas in the body.
